The topic was interesting that there were TV programs that teaching how to date in Korea. She explained benefits and negative aspects on media teaching on dating. Volume, rate, pitch, pauses, and even expressions were perfect. In previous presentation, she also did well in giving stress when speaking. She moved a lot of her arm to point the Power point and it help audience to easily catch what she’s saying. The idea she wanted to say flowed natually and she chose many descriptive, accurate word in her presentation. She’s trying to warn not to rely on media and sns quizes and enjoy our rights on dating.

I love her pronunciation and accent! Also, I like the conclusion part where she said to enjoy our right to love and be loved as we need. It gives audience courage to love passionately.

The speaker used appropriate volume of voice and proper pauses. The pitch and rate was also good, in which they helped convey her speech efficiently. She also organized the speech very well, by telling her own experience, describing what she will talk about overall, and then moving on to the specific information.

-What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?
Towards the end, she had a tendency to look at her notes often, it would have been better if she tried to recollect it even if it takes some time. Also it would have been more effective if she explained the visuals more specificly for instance the part of “Love Alone”.

-What did you like about the speech?
I really liked the part when she said “Was your heart pounding at the moment?” in the beginning, her expressions and voice were very balanced. I also liked how she maintained her voice and tone throughout the whole speech. It was also well organized and the topic was interesting.

After watching her speech, I felt she prepared this very hardly. There were lots of questions and examples. I think she tried to catch audience’s attention by asking 2 questions in the beginning and it succeeded! With her personal experience, she could get more interest. Also, in her speech, there are programs I know. It makes me feel surprised and more concentrate on her speech. She woke the audience up when they lost their concentration with various expressions.

    • What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?
I think it would be great if she was relaxed and spoke more slowly. Except that, her speech is really good!

    • What did you like about the speech?
I like her organization. Her topic is absolutely related and helpful to young people like me. Young people always consider their date with boyfriend or girlfriend. So actually lots of people look for advices through TV program. I think she completely recognizes this situation. Her topic totally fits for her latent audience. In the body, she explained causes and negative effects of getting advices in media. It makes her speech more persuasive. Further, conclusion is great. By ending with this conclusion, she encourages people to make their own date style and not to be afraid. I love that!

The topic that the speaker chose for this presentaion was facilitated vocal variety. Her voice volume, rate, and pitch was beyond excellent and balanced. She used some pauses and vocal variety effectively and it makes the audience listen to her very carefully. Also, she used many live words to make audiences easily understand. Hand gusture are great as well.

    • What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?
Everything was perfect! I think this is the BEST speech which have done during this whole semester. There was a short pause because she forgot some parts of the speech but she wasn't that embarrassed and continued what she was speaking as there's nothing happened. I appreciate it. It would be helpful next time if you highlight some words that you often forget and look at it when you have a difficulty on presenting.

    • What did you like about the speech?
I really like the way she speaks as well as the topic itself. Her voice is so clear and nice. I've never thought that the media teaches people how to date but after listening to her speech, I think we have slowly been exposed by them. It was such a fresh and interesting topic about the media. Also, I like the conclusion part. "By respecting each other, having enough conversation and loving passionate, you can get through this problem..."
