    • The general purpose of the speech was clear. 1

The general purpose of his presentation is to (a) inspire people and (b) make them think of his/her own meaning of lives. It was very clear.

    • The specific purpose of the speech was clear. 1

He explained about the life of Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank which he founded himself. He further developed his speech by presenting on how much he cared about the poor in Bangladesh and dedicated his life to their well-being. I personally learned how much it is important to have a specific purpose in my life.

    • The speech organization supported the speech's specific purpose. 2

I think that his organization was well constructed and substantiated. Asking questions to the audience in the very beginning of his presentation was actually good strategy to have them focused. I especially appreciated that he shared the person who had a great impact on his life.

    • The main points and supporting material contributed to the speech's specific purpose. 1

Yes, of course. He explained to the audience how poor people in Bangladesh were and thus could not borrow money from bank. They simply had not enough capital to begin their business. Also giving information on the policies of Grameen bank really helped understand the very reason that it could succeed, adapting to the local environment.

    • The beginning, body and conclusion reinforced the specific purpose. 3

I think that the presentation would have been better if he had linked back what he learned from Muhammad Yunus to how he set his own purpose of his life.

    • The speaker achieved the specific purpose. 1

Yes. I now know who Muhammad Yunus is and how he contributed to the economy of Bangladesh. I, as one of the audience, know get to think about my own purpose of life.

    • The speaker appeared confident and sincere, with minimal nervousness. 1

I think that he looks straight-forward. The voice is loud and clear, full of confident. Speech pace is also good so that the audience can easily follow the presentation and understand fully.

    • The speaker did not rely on notes throughout the speech. 1

He constantly had an eye contact with the audience while fully understanding what he is saying. It is not than he memorized the whole script, but rather, he knows the topic very well. Maybe he is just camera-shy. Just kidding!

    • What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?

From my point of view, he could have tried to personalize the presentation, talking more about himself. But I guess he tried to be as objective as possible. I think it was also fair enough.

    • What did you like about the presentation?

I really like his way of delivering a speech, being consistent and motivational. Having a great role model in life, who can change other people’s lives, is such a nice thing. I wish I had one too.

    • The speech organization supported the speech's specific purpose. 3
I spent a major part of my speech in explaining the life of Muhammad Yunus. Though I think the story is quite inspiring, maybe I should have spent more time in persuading the audience.
    • The main points and supporting material contributed to the speech's specific purpose. 2
I think the main points were clear and easy enough to explain the life of Muhammad Yunus. I used Powerpoint slides, which I tried to fill with more pictures and graphs, and less texts.
    • The beginning, body and conclusion reinforced the specific purpose. 2
I started my presentation by asking a question, and then moved on to explain the life of Muhammad Yunus. I concluded my speech by urging the listeners to rethink about their life purposes.
    • The speaker achieved the specific purpose. 3
I’m not sure if my speech was persuasive enough to make audience think about their own purposes of life.
    • The speaker appeared confident and sincere, with minimal nervousness. 3
I tried hard to make eye contacts. Though I think I succeeded in that, I seemed so stiff, which is a sign of nervousness. I made too little gestures, especially, I barely moved any parts of my body except for arms.
    • The speaker did not rely on notes throughout the speech. 1
I memorized the speech, and I made my presentation without any note.
    • What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?
I think I should try to relax more. I seemed to stiff. Also, my voice was too monotonous. Other than memorizing the content, I think I need to rehearse more before the actual presentation.

    • What did you like about the presentation?
It was satisfactory that I didn’t forget what to say in middle of the presentation. Also, I liked that I was constantly making eye contacts with the audience.

The speaker explains Yunus' life of helping the poor to like establishing a bank for poor people. He also talks about the specific effects of what Yunus did. However, I thought it would have been better if he connected the story of Yunus to his own experience, like explaining how Yunus has inspired him and made him do something.

    • The main points and supporting material contributed to the speech's specific purpose. 1

The main points and the material was good and helped me understand the presentation. He had lots of pictures and graphs that were easy to understand, and his PPT did not contain excessive amount of words.

    • The speaker appeared confident and sincere, with minimal nervousness. 2

Overall, he was confident on what he was speaking and and frequent eye-contacts through out the speech which was great. However, I thought he was a little bit nervous while he was giving his speech because he was in front of the camera. It was not disturbing or distracting the flow of the speech, though.

He did not use any notes while he was speaking. He seemed to know perfectly what he was speaking without the note.
