Title: 5 benefits of living near the school

1.The general purpose of the speech was clear.-1

The general purpose of her speech is to infrom the audience about the benefits of living near the school. She wrote it in the first page of PPT at the beginning, which helped me get to know what is the purpose of speech.

2.The specific purpose of the speech was clear.-2

After her presentaion, I could realize what specifics merits exist in living near the school. She explained those things with her own experiences which made it easier to understand.

3.The speech organization supported the speech’s specific purpose.-1

Her speech was well organized with opening, body and conclusion. At the end of the opening, she told that she is going to talk about "what I felt, what I am feeling and wht I will feel." from that part, I could predict that her speech will be about her own experiences.

4.The main points and supporting material contributed to the speech’s specific purpose.-3

There were 5 main points and each had supporing details. All the main points were realted to the main point of the presentation. Also, each details were specific enough to support the main points.

5.The beginning, body, and conclusion reinforced the specific purpose.-2

She started her speech by telling exactly what she is going to say. "I am here to talk about the good things about living alone near the school". then she told about her background story of beginning living alone this summer. She explains what are the good things in the body parts by telling her anecdots and a proverb. At the conclusion, she summarizes the benefits she told at the body part, and finish the speech by telling a promise of herself. and recommendation to the audience on how to enjoy life.

6.The speaker achieved the specific purpose.-2

She explained of her reasons with details such as anecdots, proverb and visual aid.

7.The speaker appeared confident and sincere, with minimal nervousness. -2

Her voice was loud enough to hear all the things she say. Also she kept calm until the end of the presentaion.

8.The speaker did not rely on notes throughout the speech.-3

The speaker often looked at the notes but she didn't rely on it. She tried to do as many eye contacs as possible.

9.What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective?

It would have been better, if there were various levels in her voice. Her presentaion was calm entirely, but if there is a point that she wants to give focous on, it would be better to speak more loudly or do some big gestures.

10.What did you like about the presentation?

I was able to have a sympathy in her presentaion because I am also living near the school. However there were many things that I haven't though of, which made me interested. Also, I liked the way she consisted of her PPT. She didn't write any long words, just using big icons which represents well about what she is saying. If she had wrote the things in a letter, it would have been boiring to watch the PPT
