    • The general purpose of the speech was clear. 1
The general purpose of the speech is that we have to keep our phone far away from us when we sleep because of several reasons that explains in the body of her presentation.

    • The specific purpose of the speech was clear. 1
I think her specific purpose is to make people know and learn about why sleeping with/next to the phone is harmful for us, and how to avoid them. To explain this, she presented the negative reasons: 1. Smartphones can set your pillow on fire, 2. The health risk of cell phones are quite murky, 3. Blue light will disturb your sleep. Followed by the solutions: 1. Put your phone away when you sleep, 2. Turn the sound off and put it upside-down, 3. Protect your eyes from blue light by using applications (Nightshift or f.lux).

    • The speech organization supported the speech's specific purpose. 1
In the introduction, she introduced the topic with a graph (like we learned in class) explaining that the most of people sleep with/next to the phone. Also, her body is constituted by 3 reasons why isn't really good for us having the phone near when we sleep and 3 options to prevent. At the conclusion, she made a summary of all that she explained before.

    • The main points and supporting material contributed to the speech's specific purpose. 1
She informed with three facts that we have to be careful about using phone or having the phone near from us in the night. She also used really well the PPT with special sounds, a video of a report, graphs and making the ideas clearly.

    • The beginning, body and conclusion reinforced the specific purpose. 1
The beginning was about how much people tend to sleep with/next to the phone, the body was about how affects negatively and how we can prevent the use or sleep with/next to the phones in the night and conclusion was making clear about these reasons with a summary.

    • The speaker achieved the specific purpose. 1
It was really interesting because it's a fact that affects to all of people, and specially teenagers. So, I think that is a good thing to know and be informed about how can affect to us and be more careful.

    • The speaker appeared confident and sincere, with minimal nervousness. 1
She seemed confident and she made eye-contact constantly with the audience and the camera. Also she looked sometimes the computer and the PPT, however her pronunciation and the tone was really clear.

    • The speaker did not rely on notes throughout the speech. 2
She was looking a small papers but she seemed that she was enjoying her presentation.

    • What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective? 1
Personally, I think that the topic was really interesting for all the people who are addicted and we can't stay far from our phones. Sincerely, I wouldn't change anything but, it would make more perfect if she memorized the script.

    • What did you like about the presentation?
I really enjoyed the whole presentation because I always tend to keep my phone near from me when I sleep and sometimes woke up because of the light when people talk to me. I really surprised watching the video she presented and also, I think that I would install one of these application that she introduced.

    • The general purpose of the speech was clear. 1
I think the general purpose of my speech was very clear and obvious. I mentioned it several times during my speech.

    • The specific purpose of the speech was clear. 1
My presentation was a persuasive speech. At the end of my speech, the audience will be able to know what to do when they use their cell phone at night. Specifically, there are problems, effects and solutions. The problems are threefold. Firstly, it could set your pillow on fire if you put your phone around your bed. The second problem is that the health risks of cell phones are quite murky. Finally, the blue lights from the electronic devices disturbs your sleep. Thus, snuggling up to your phone at night could be hazardous to your health in many ways. So I suggested three solutions. First, banish your phone from bedroom. Second, turn the sound off or put it upside down when you really need to use it at bedroom. Lastly, do not forget mobile applications like Nightshift or f.lux.

    • The speech organization supported the speech's specific purpose. 1
Yes. Totally. It’s consisted of introduction, body and conclusion. In the body part, there were problems and solutions that each of them are threefold. I think using the number 3 is very effective when you insist something. In addition, there were proper signposts in between as well. I used to graph to enhance understanding of the audiences.

    • The main points and supporting material contributed to the speech's specific purpose. 1
I used lots of materials to make the audience interested. For example, I put a news clip video when I talked about cell phone explosion. It all connected to the main purpose of my speech, to persuade people.

    • The beginning, body and conclusion reinforced the specific purpose. 1
It really did. I think most of the students would agree with my beginning because it really rejected their daily lives. Then the body part emphasized the reason why we should take an interest on this issue. Finally, the conclusion was very clear and simple. I summarized what I've said so far and respeak the central idea.

    • The speaker achieved the specific purpose. 1
I think most of the people who saw my presentation would realize that it is beneficial to banish your phone from the bedroom. In case you should use your phone at night, you should do something like using some blue screen filters to protect your eyes.

    • The speaker appeared confident and sincere, with minimal nervousness. 1
I think I am quite lucky to have a loud and clear voice which is very good for having a speech. It was neither fast nor slow. There was no problem to understand what I said. Also, I try to look at all the audiences one by one, especially whenever I ask some questions to the people. I think I did a good job for the first few minutes. However, the most important thing to improve my speech would be to keep holding eye contact until the end.

    • The speaker did not rely on notes throughout the speech. 2
I think I did not over-rely on the note cards at the beginning as it was the part that I practiced a lot. However, I could not stop watching the cards in the end. I got too nervous and frustrated as the speech went. I even forgot some of the important parts of the presentation. But fortunately, I think the audiences quite enjoyed my speech.

    • What could the speaker have done differently to make the speech more effective? 2
I will practice more and hard next time so that I could completely attract the audience’s eyes.

    • What did you like about the presentation? 2
I thought I have prepared quite enough, but it turned out it was not really. I started to prepare for the presentation about 3 days before. I think I should have started earlier. I had to practice much more like a real speech as I have a stage fright in reality. When I had a speech by myself, it took around 6 minutes. I thought it would be okay for this speech.
